Boat is 98% complete
requires finishing touches
Note: If
your are looking for a million dollar boat and have a million plus the
income to maintain it or you are not very handy or it drives you crazy
if everthing is not perfect, please don't waste our time and yours this
is not the boat for you.
If you are like us very handy and want a huge, very well laid out, very
strong steel boat with all of the imperfections inherent in this kind
of boat call us. You will understand a scrape is fixed by some
paint and like to see the plastic boats cringe as you power by.
This boat is perfectly usable as is and has been proven at sea in our
Great Loop Trip (which you can check out at www.werner.ca).
Here is the Story.
Construction of the boat was started in 1994 we were told the age of
the boat was determined by when the keel was laid. The original owner
built fishing boats on Lake Erie and was planning on retiring and doing
the US rivers systems and great loop. Unfortunatly he passed away
before the boat was completed. The second owner purchased the boat and
did some work on the boat and launched it in 1997
We bought the the boat in the late summer of 2001and as the prior
owners had never registered it as a condition of the sale it was
registered. We have substantually completed the boat and of course made
changes to suit ourselves. We moved onto the boat in the summer of 2002
as liveaboards and have been on the boat since.
Why are we selling? We have
purchased an RV and plan on wintering south in the RV and spending
summers on a smaller boat. Below is what needs
to be completed and what repairs I feel are needed
What needs to be completed?
Cushions on the flybridge need to be made.
Hydraulics have been run to Flybridge for steering and wiring is
roughed in however we have concluded we would not be interested in
piloting the boat with such little visibility and are not intending on
completing flybidge controls.
Some trim and woodworking needs to be completed
mainly in the V berth,
head area and galley.
